Truc sphérique, o.z.

The operator of the cultural center Stanica Žilina-Záriečie, which combines an independent cultural space, an artistic laboratory, and activism, operates at the railway station of the same name. It also focuses on the reconstruction and operation of another cultural space, the New Synagogue Žilina.

It aims to be a transfer hub where ideas are contemplated, created, and disseminated. It continues to write the story of a small station where the paths of local residents intersected. Today, it connects people from near and far, progressive artistic, cultural, and educational activities with communities and the general public.

The year-round and daily program of Stanica consists of festivals (Fest Anča, Kiosk festival, Mountains and City Žilina, Žilina Literary Festival, …), theatrical performances, concerts, film screenings, lectures, exhibitions, workshops, courses, artist residencies, artistic project co-productions, hosting and sending abroad volunteers, programs for children and schools, and community events. Additionally, Stanica still serves as a waiting area and ticket sales point for local trains from Žilina to Rajec.
