About the Performance
Beastieville offers encounters with creatures spontaneously created from natural materials, whose existence depends on the viewer’s imagination, ability, and willingness to recognize the character in any dry twig or leaf. In the corners of the garden, the Beasties convey their fragile poetic messages in short performances. The form of the performance also depends on the state of the available props, which change according to the current season. The audience can become part of the play – to create and animate their own Beastie.
Beastieville was created, among other things, to verify the adventurous idea that nothing is really needed to create beautiful theatre.
